Geforce 1080 Benchmarks...

Buying a 1080?

  • Hell yes!

  • Maybe

  • Happy with what I have.

  • Nah man, I am broke.

  • Hell no

Results are only viewable after voting.
I am officially the first vote cast saying, "nah man, I am broke". I think my 770 should work for a little while longer...

The price for the 1080 is incredible. This is benchmarked higher than a base Titan X.

$599 which is half of the price of he previous

lol can i re-change my vote from maybe, to fucking broke.....lol that seems a little excessive but when its better then a titan at $1200 it makes sense. Anyone wanna spot me $600? ill pay tax? :p

I'm planning on getting one at the end of summer. I'm pretty excited. I built mine 2 days before BF4 release and I think I'll build another new one right before BF1 release. I'll use this computer for work. Best part is I own a business so all of this gets written off. Murica'

Nice!

Reading the comments on one of the first links....it's a fake. The guy claims to be Chinese, while he does the review in French. Sheesh.

The real benchmarks are under embargo as stated here...

"Reviews for the GTX 1080 will go live on May 17th, 10 days before the Founder’s edition GTX 1080 is made available for purchase. The GTX 1070 Founder’s edition will launch June 10th for $449, with the board partner cards launching later for $379. The embargo date on GTX 1070 reviews hasn’t been revealed as of yet, but it will likely precede the June 10th date by at least a week similar to the GTX 1080."

It looks like we won't see any real benchmarks until next week.

Nope. You should be fine running the 1080 on your rig.

I do that with mine all the time; the most I pay out of pocket is $200-$250 for a new top of the line card, and sometimes just $150.
