CrossFire?

I have. I even downloaded and tried it. The action was good, but the available resolutions were terribly low, which ruined it for me. I stopped after about a half hour.

Meh.. free games tend to have LOTS of cheaters.

It's multiplayer, but an odd format for it. For multiplayer, you wait in queue until a server has achieved an even number of player before you can enter. For instance, if you select a server that shows 18/32 players, you wait until one more signs onto that server before you can begin gaming. There are no odd numbers on the multiplayer.

No teamwork, no strategy-it's pretty much a pure shooter. You shoot anybody on the opposite team. One of the multiplayer formats was kind of cool; one team starts off with proscribed weapons. For instance, if you have 20 players on a side, only 10 will get assault rifles, 5 get only knives, and 3 get pistols, and two might go barehanded. You can acquire weapons as you kill somebody, but starting out unarmed is kind of tough.

Queues aren't so bad. I just farm enchanting mats or gold while I wait.
