Next Xbox tablet-based - What's going to happen in 2012? on GameSpot

As the console slowly turns into a pc.

As the world slowly forgets that it hates gaming on touchscreens. Angry Birds is about as good as it gets.

Where did the 720 name come from anyway? I'm personally betting on XBOX361 for the next iteration.

xbox 720 just follows the theme...360....720....1080 =p -- personally i just want it called X^3 - change it up a bit >_> consoles are not the way of the future....when are these companies going to find that out? unless something wicked comes out - meaning features - and something that a casual person can buy and use and not make it feel like a toy so it attracts the 30+ crowd but still be awesome and give the hardcore gamer his/her fix i dont see a good future for consoles...it saddens me that even our current pc games are limited in potential because they have to lower there standards to 5 years ago >_>

Well Windows 8 is heavily developed for tablet PC's, so it wouldn't suprise me if they get MS to do something similar..... like the Wii U crap.
