Obamacare upheld, congress granted unlimited power to regulate America

Chief Justice John Roberts voted with the liberal wing of the court and upheld Obamacare. The ruling stated that the mandate was a tax and as such the congress has the right to levy it. This opinion gives congress the ability to force the American people to do anything or buy anything they wish so long as they put a financial penalty in place for people who do not comply with their wishes. It strikes down the penalties on state medicare payments who do not meet the federal rules Obamacare put in place. This decision has changed the definition of liberty in America and removed the chains that kept the government in check. If there is any good that comes from this decision it is the tidal wave of victories that are coming in November, Obamacare was singlehandedly responsible for the historic wave of victories for Republicans in 2010.

Corruption at its finest.

Hey, Fast - we are now Canadian also!

No not quite. Don't they still pay for theirs indirectly?

I currently do not have health insurance partly by choice. My work offered the shittiest insurance. It was about 1300 a year and they only covered 3000 a year. Figured I was better off on my own. I so wish I had my dealership insurance back.

Yeah, who cares for a government that takes care of its people. Fucking evil Socialist wannabes...

P.S. I like sarcasm ;)

Don't Tread On Me

It proves that SCOTUS is bought and paid for.

There was soo much in that 2000 page bill that had absolutely nothing to do with health care that there's no way it should have EVER got by the SCOTUS. They did not even remove those areas of the bill.

They are dirty and will someday, somehow be held accountable by the people of this great Republic for their treasonous acts against not only the people but this sovereign Republic.

When you wipe your ass with the Constitution see below.

TREASON:
1. violation or betrayal of the allegiance that a person owes his sovereign or his country, esp by attempting to overthrow the government; high treason
2. any treachery or betrayal

How to you pay for something like this? Where does the money come from? I guess if you live off the system it only gives you incentive to stay on the system. If you don't pay taxes, hold a full time job, & support a family this is probably way over your head. Somehow our government thinks that it can run the private sector with efficiently, just plain sad. I know but we can do it better; you think after 15 models one would conclude that government just dispenses red tape. Come on opt out states...then two big middle fingers in the air & a shout FUCK YOU DEMOCRATS;

A big thanks to the commycrats(democrats who cannot put 2 + 2 together) for taking away from what made this country great. I hope you love paying taxes.

What is it with Republicans/Conservatives always crying about what the Democrats/Liberals do all the time? Even my RL friends who are conservatives constantly complain about liberals. Fox News all day long complains about what the liberals are doing. I've also noticed how republicans like to make up silly little names like "commycrats" (not a very good one there though). Once again my republican friends do the same crap. Its not funny, and its old now. Also, as if republicans don't slip shit into the bills they try and get through. Both sides pull stunts all the time. I don't like Democrats and I don't like Republicans. And just to clarify, I don't particularly like CNN either.

Also, please someone put a .50 into the head of the moron who host Red Hour with Gutfield. Hmm, Gutfield, maybe not a .50 but a katana through the stomach. Forced Hari Kari! I don't care what side you're on, no one should like that moron.

tl;dr version: Republicans and Democrats are both stupid. Please kill host of Red Hour on Fox News

It's Red Eye and Bill Schultz is the shit although it's Gutfeld who hosts the show technically. Do me a favor and show me a 2600 page bill Republicans passed that forces the people to buy a product. It doesn't exist, because that power is unconstitutional. Even Chief Justice Roberts wrote in his majority opinion that without the provision that penalizes people $1000 for not buying health insurance the law would have been struck down because that fine was determined to be a tax by the majority of the court. There are only two ways to fix this, either amend the constitution (virtually impossible, particularly in todays climate) or refresh the tree of liberty. It's sad that we have come from the founding of this nation born out of unfair taxation full circle to the beginning.

In other less disturbing news the Attorney General Eric Holder was found in contempt of congress today and the House has voted to file civil suit to force the AG to release the documents the White House is hiding from the people. November is gonna be ugly, kind of makes you think those Mayans might have known something...

More people on the dole is what is wanted, because when you are beholden to a system (i.e. Greece, France, Spain...) then you want the gravey train to keep rolling. Now, add in those covered by the "Dream Presidential Action" since it didn't go through congress and add another 800k to 1m to the mix.

The problem is that more and more Americans feel like they're entitled. Forget working for something, society owes me food, housing, insurance, etc. People complain about haves and have nots, how about will and will not. Everyone has the opportunity to get ahead in this country in many ways but always find excuses not to-student loans take forever to pay off, that job's too hard...etc. The bottom line is unless you're willing to put forth the effort shut the hell up. My pet peeve is that so much of our population expects shit to be handed to them and then those who do work end up paying for those who don't with higher taxes, higher insurance costs, auto, health, dental, etc. I don't ask anyone to do something I'm not willing to do, but for the love of god unless you're willing to put forth some effort shut your damn mouth is all I'm saying.

Balls the private sector pays for this. You know all those people that don't work for the Government and are not on welfare or some other government program. That is highly simplified of course, but in the end it is the private sector that will pay for the majority of it.

Quote Sixer "My pet peeve is that so much of our population expects shit to be handed to them and then those who do work end up paying for those who don't with higher taxes, higher insurance costs, auto, health, dental, etc. I don't ask anyone to do something I'm not willing to do, but for the love of god unless you're willing to put forth some effort shut your damn mouth is all I'm saying."

Could not have said it better myself Six. Sooner or later, and I think were damn close, the "have not's" will out number the "haves" and the complete system will fail.

Saying you're moving to Canada cause you're upset about Obamacare is like saying you're moving to Hogwarts cause you're upset about magic. Or moving from Memphis to Austin to avoid barbecue.

As long as they keep coming out with games like BF3 and the like we ain't gonna do s*** but sit at home and watch this nation fall apart. It's all EA's fault you know. I'm sure they are all government employees incognito. On a more serious note, I'm not sure what's going to happen but it seems like we got a raging fire moving across the land and we are armed with squirt guns. I guess if we could get enough of us together we could put it out.

I'm thinking as long as we have a roof over our head, A/C in the house, food on the table, a liquor store down the road and a PC that will play BF3 we are going to lay the squirt guns down.

The first bill that I can think of that has things that had nothing to do with the original bill itself is the Patriot Act. Living in the U.S. is living in a police state. Why do I believe this? You can not do as you wish or the police will slap disrupting the peace on your happy ass when all you were doing was being loud at a protest. The U.S. government is broken. "People should not be afraid of their government, the government should be afraid of its people." one of my favorite quotes. TL;DR responses to my 1st post. Please give tl;dr summarized versions. As for moving to Canada, I tend not to get a long with Canadians for some reason... but their government is appealing in my point of view.

Not trying to start a forum war with any of you. Just expressing my point of view ^_^ I like you guys and enjoy being here.

Really? we live in a fucking police state? I disagree. the gestapo doesn't bust down my door and search my house in the middle of the night. I am pretty sure I am allowed across state lines or free travel around the country any time I want. I'm pretty sure people are allowed to speak their mind about a public official or better yet write into a news paper about how much they hate the president. What about all the yahoo's burning the flag in the streets and the police just watch!? Protests at soldiers funerals...etc.

I'm sorry Sano, but we live in a free country. If you are fortunate enough to live in the commonwealth of Florida, it is extremely American and they don't tax your income. When I lived in Alabama, I used to carry a loaded gun both concealed and open, and nobody said a word, because it was legal; in fact everyone was packing and guess what the crime rate was? Less than 2% violent crime. Someone tried to rob a store with shotgun while I was down there... the clerk shot him and killed him, and he was praised as a Hero.

We have it VERY GOOD in this country, however the past couple generations of people have lost their sense of Patriotism, and traditional American values. Like hard work and service to the nation, via military or civil. Politicians have lost sight of what defines leadership, they are crooked, bent, and selfish. Do I agree the Gov't in broken? NO. It's still there and it still works, we need real men and women of character, integrity and patriots in the seats of this nations leadership, not cowardly self serving mouth breathers who have a hard time distinguishing their mouth's from their sphincter because they spend so much time talking out their ass the two might as well be the same.

Canada does their own fucking thing and no one cares about what they do. They export lumber, lumberjacks, bad hockey teams, terrible musicians and good beer, that's IT. Why the fuck would you want to live there? Obnoxious french people? Cold? Snow?? More bears? Fuck that man I'm good. Just like they wouldn't want to live here. They have a good economy, because they are not the global hegemony. The United States is the Global Hegemony, China is catching up to us, we are trying to shake our addiction of oil from the most volatile regions on the planet like it's some sick fetish, we are Trillions of dollars in debt. and we are worried about FUCKING HEALTH CARE!?

who is going to pay for it?

Not us says Cheif Justice Roberts with 1 caveat: Only if the Dems raise taxes to ensure they're shitty shitty shitty program gets funding will we pay for it, which they will have to or it will fizzle out. ALSO: it's up to the states what they want to do. The Feds cannot yank their medicaid program funding, so unless a state volunteers to accept the Obama-care program and the money that funds it from our federal tax dollars the current administration is SOL if the state senates like the engineer say "NOPE!"

Why the hell is every response against my point of view so full of negativity and disgust? I end up not reading more then half the post because the first part of the response mind as well be a giant "fuck you". My point of view may be or may not be yours; which is what is great about the U.S.A. You don't have to be an attack dog for me to listen to your point of view and accept it for what it is. My best friend is a republican and we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, but we still manage to be friends for 10+ years. My intentions are just to express my opinion about the state of the union without being an attack dog. I already stated that I think both parties and even independents are all going about running this country the wrong way. I don't have an answer for the right way though. Our founding fathers must be rolling in their graves over what the U.S.A. has become. Political turmoil and hatred spewing out of all parties toward each other. It is a sad situation.

As for the U.S.A. being a police state, I meant when it comes down to it, a cop or even a civilian can arrest you for simply gathering in protest with the simple "disturbing the peace" laws. I did not mean that the U.S. is a Totalitarian Socialist country like Nazi Germany was.

I will admit I voted for Obama, and I am 100% sorry I did. He is a failure as a president in my opinion. He is no better than Bush, who came before him. I am not blaming either major party for the U.S. problems. The government as a whole should be blamed.

Health care is a huge concern for my family and I. I suffer from psychiatric disabilities and my nephew has Hyper IGM which without the right health care will end up in his death before he ever gets to the age of 20. The rest of my family and extended family have many health issues as well. Yes, Canada is Canada and they do their own thing. I am simply saying their health care system works for them; and I never hear a Canadian complain about their system either.

I am not here to piss anyone off or take sides. Please try not to take MY opinions as an attack on either side of the line. My beliefs are not yours and you have a right not to accept them; which I am perfectly willing to accept and even listen to your views.

I think your reading too much into peoples posts Sano. Context is hard to distinguish in the written word. I don't see anyone attacking you, they are just pointing out different view's.
